KHU provides special scholarships and benefits to the exchange students from
native English-speaking countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand,
Ireland, and Republic of South Africa) attending the Foreign Mentor Program or
the TaLK Program. Tuition fee is waived for both programs in basic.

Foreign Mentor Program
KHU is currently running the Immersion Residential Program in which all the
freshmen stay at the university dormitories and build their basic capabilities
especially focusing on the language ability.
When the exchange students come to KHU, they will spend their time with
KHU students at the dormitories, regularly tutoring them in English Programs.
- Special Benefits
a. Dormitory accommodation (1US$=1,000 Won)
b. Round-trip airfare: economy class up to 1,500,000 Won
- Responsibilities
a. Tutoring KHU students for 10 hours per week in the dorms

TaLK Program
The TaLK(Teach and Learn in Korea) Program is inviting exchange students from
English-speaking countries. Sponsored by the Korean Ministry of Education,
Science and Technology, TaLK will sponsor individuals interested in gaining the
personal and professional enrichment through teaching and learning in Korea.
- Special Benefits
a. Monthly stipend: 900,000 Won (US$900, 1US$=1,000 Won)
b. Accommodation: dormitory, apartment, or homestay
c. Round-trip airfare

- Responsibilities
a. Teaching English for 9 hours per week in after-school classes
(Local government designates the schools to teach at)
