Based on the General Agreement for Academic Exchange concluded by Kyung Hee University and the University of Pennsylvania in October 2005, the Program strives to promote a better understanding of the East Asian region and the world, in tandem with the current quests for "multiculturalism" and "global trust."

The program offers 4-weeks intensive sessions. Each course is worth 3 credits and 45 hours long. Classes are in session from Monday through Friday, and students may register for a maximum of 3 courses. Taught by a faculty team of internationally renowned scholars, courses are centered on East Asian Civilization and Global Governance.
