1. When requesting an IP Address by e-mail, please use your department administration e-mail account.

2. The designated user of the IP address is responsible for any misuse associated with the IP address.

NT/2000/XP
  Press the ¡°Start¡± button, then select ¡°Run¡±; when the command prompt appears, type ¡°ipconfig /all¡± and press ¡°Enter¡±. Then, type ¡°Physical Address¡±.
UNIX
  SUN series: Run ¡°dmesg/more¡±, then type Mac address displayed.
Digital series: Run ¡°uerf/more¡±, then type hardware address displayed.
Others: Run ¡°ipconfig-a¡± or refer to it when you boot.
Macintosh
  Press the "Apply Now" button. Click on the¡°Network Control Panel¡± from within ¡°System Preferences¡±. Making sure that the TCP/IP tab is selected, click ¡°Get Info¡± in the file menu.
 
1. The domain name refers to the name of the host under khu.ac.kr.

2. When you need to request a subdomain within khu.ac.kr, you should contact the domain helpdesk for Kyunghee University.

3. If the OS is Win 98 or Win 95, a separate domain name (under khu.ac.kr) application will not be accepted. If you wish to make a special request, contact the helpdesk.

4. Less than four domain names you can be assigned to a single IP address.
 
UNIX
  Confirm if ¡°nslookup ( domain name to apply)¡± can be used, if not, you may request it.
Type ¡°ping (domain name to apply),¡± then if you see ¡°Unknown host (domain name to apply),¡± you may request it.
WINDOWS 95/98, NT
  In Window Dos, type ¡°ping (domain name to apply)¡±, then if you see ¡°Unknown host (domain name to apply),¡± you may request it.

Notes
1. Please report any changes to the information about IP Address. Your status as a legitimate uses of the IP address is determined by an exact match, between the information given in your information and the IP¡¯s actual use. If you do not report the any changes, your use of the IP may be revoked or cause undue harm to other users.

Requests for LAN Cables
  1. The following are eligible to request a Local Area Network(LAN): Each administrative unit, college, graduate school, or organizations affiliated with Kyunghee University (faculty offices, graduate school offices, and student club offices may request one through their affiliated units or affiliated colleges.)

2. Requests via the email accounts of each administrative unit, college or organization should be made to the e-mail (it@khu.ac.kr) of the Office of Information Technical Support (No in-person requests please).

3. Complete the application form with the following information: the applicant¡¯s personal information (position, ID number, name), the applicant¡¯s mailing address, and the length, number, and purpose of the LAN.

4. If the length of a LAN cable is more than 3 meters, it will be issued after the Information and Technical Support visits the designated location.

5. Once you require an e-mail or telephone a formation of the completion of the cable, you may visit the Office of Information and Technical Support and retrieve it.
