As the Korea's first museum to solely specialize in old maps,
Hye-Jung Museum opened on Kyung Hee's Global campus located
south of Seoul on May 17, 2005. The 3300-square-meter-museum
features some 130 old, western maps, documents and other historical
records from the 15th and the 20th century, in reference to
the Korean peninsula. It also displays about 10 old maps from
Korea. The political changes taking place over the years on
the peninsula are reflected in the maps' geographical boundaries
and place names.
