The Graduate School of NGO Studies was established in March 2000, in commemoration of the 1999 Seoul International Conference of NGOs' co-hosted by Kyung Hee University, CONGO, and UN NGO/DPI. It follows the vision of the Conference: Searching for new possibilities in human society through comprehensive reflections on modern civilization. The Graduate School emphasizes interdisciplinary research and education and focuses on the three principal agents of civilization: human beings, the market, and the state. Through various programs, the Graduate School aims to educate and train future leaders and professionals in civil society.
The Master's Degree program accepts 40 students each year and is composed of three majors: Civil Society, Global Governance, and NGO Policy/Management. An interdisciplinary curriculum embedded in the humanities and social sciences provides solid bases for civil society and NGO studies. The program emphasizes the quest for the peace, coexistence, and co-prosperity of mankind. It encourages team-teaching and provides a variety of courses combining theory and practice. Various special programs are also offered.

1) Students must complete 30 credits for the Master's degree, including both core courses and major required courses.

2) Students must complete an approved internship and other extracurricular requirements.
