The educational goal of the Department of Applied Korean Medicine is promoting human welfare by means of combining the benefits of eastern medicine and western medicine. We inspect the reliability and value of the theories in the applied Korean medicine objectively. Also we develop new and systematic criteria for clinical treatment and research. The interest of the world in Korean medicine is expanding abundantly, so the world needs specialists who can combine eastern and western medicine. We train the right person of ability for international exchange of knowledge and basic research adequate for developing new and powerful medicinal materials in five sub-major divisions.

1) A bachelor's or master's degree(graduate-to-be available) in Korean medicine, medicine, biology and biology-related is required for admission to all programs.


2) At least 24 course units of graduate level credit are required for the master's degree
and 36 course units for the doctor's degree.


3 ) Students have to pass a qualifying examination and an interview.


4 ) Students must fulfill presentation, defense, and document requirements for the thesis committee.


5 ) A thesis advisor can be more than 2 members.

Research overview
The purpose of research at Korea's Traditional Medicine is constructing the basis of ??research of East-West medical treatment for the strengthening of the international competitiveness of Korean Oriental medicine??.
