History
We research the formation & development of Korea. We research
the shape of history and illuminate the basic system of Korea
which changes itself continuously.
¤ýOriental History
We can understand the main stream of Oriental History and
illuminate the shape of each historical age.
¤ýWestern History
We can divide Western History into Ancient, Medieval, Modern,
and Contemporary History. We study the formation and change,
development of each age through political, economical, social,
cultural and intellectual aspects. We research the following
themes too.
¤ýHistory of Art - doctorate course
From ancient to contemporary times, we research the trends
of thought in History of Art, History of Aesthetics, History
of Artists, and Post-mainstream Art. We also focus on the
relationship between historical trends and art history.
1)
At least 24 course units of graduate level credit in History
courses are required for the master's degree; 60 course units
for the doctor's degree (including units completed in master
course).
2) Students have to pass a qualifying examination.
3) Students must fulfill presentation, defense, and document
requirements for the thesis committee.
4) A thesis advisor can be any faculty member from the department.-
