The College of Medicine seeks to impart students with a firm grasp of mental and physical health by basic and clinical studies. To accomplish this goal, the college offers a 6-year-program in basic human science and clinical science. The first two years of the program are devoted to a number of premedical courses including ethics in medicine. In the following year, students enroll in a basic medical course such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Histology, Embryology, Behavioral Science, Genetics, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Immunology, Preventive Medicine, and Parasitology. During the next three years, the students are trained to gain expertise in the various clinical subjects.

Since it was established in 1965, Kyung Hee University College of Medicine (KUMC) has devoted itself to the twin tasks of eradicating all diseases and educating the nation's next generation of medical experts. Throughout the years, the field of medicine has experienced the profound changes that have yielded the sophisticated innovations in both medical techniques and processes. To keep pace with these changes, the college has been leading the nation's medical field by advancing knowledge through research in biomedically oriented studies and providing graduate programs with scholarship. Ever since Kyung Hee Medical Center was found in 1971, the first-rate staff of experienced medical professionals across a broad range of the medical fields in KUMC have assisted students obtain sophisticated knowledge of medicine by maintaining state-of-the-art facilities and research equipment. KUMC also provides students with real world experiences in general clinical medicine as well as with basic studies of scientific correlation, physical and laboratory diagnosis.

1) Premedical Course
During the two years of premedical courses, students have to take at least 82 credit hours of 33 class courses from core cultural subjects, disciplinary cultural subjects, and departmental subjects.

2) Medical course
Year 1 : The first year of program requires 45 credit hours of 30 class courses consisting primarily of basic medical sciences. The courses include Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Histology, Embryology, Behavioral Science, Genetics, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Immunology, Preventive Medicine, and Parasitology.

Year 2 : The second year program mainly contains clinical lectures and practice. Students are asked to register for 46 credit hours of 25 class courses.

Year 3 : The third year program mainly contains clinical clerkships. Students are asked to register for 46 credit hours of 12 class courses. Year 4 : The fourth year program contains clinical clerkships. Students are asked to register for 46 credit hours of 31 class courses.

- 45 credits from departmental subjects (Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Medical Statistics and Lab, Life Science, Introduction to Psychology, Medical Genetics, Organic Chemistry and Lab, Comparative Anatomy, Medicine and Philosophy, Behavioral Science, Medical English, Medical Information, Introduction to Oriental Medicine, Introduction to Dentistry)
- 9 credits from disciplinary cultural subjects
- 13 credits from core cultural subjects
- 15 credits from area cultural subjects.

2) Medical course
Year 1 : Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Histology, Embryology, Neuroanatomy, Immunology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Preventive Medicine, Parasitology, Genetics, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Preventive Medicine.

Year 2 : Diagnostics, General Surgery, Infectious Diseases, Allergy & Immunology, Endocrinology and Metabolism, Hematology Oncology, Nephrology, Uro-reproductive Medicine, Neurology, Cardiovascular Disorders I & II, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology I & ?, Medicine for Fetus, Neonate and Mother ? & II, Dermatology, Anesthesiology, Medical Ethics, Legal Medicine Pathology (Forensic Medicine), Psychiatry, Musculoskeletal, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Clinical Pathology, Diagnostic Radiology, Emergency Medicine, Health Care Management, Medical Law and Regulation, Family medicine, Medical Engineering.

Year 3 : Internal Medicine Clerkship (Hemato-Oncology, Nephrology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Infectious disease, Rheumatology), Surgery Clerkship, Pediatrics Clerkship, Obstetrics and Gynecology Clerkship, Neuropsychiatry Clerkship, Introduction to Oriental Medicine, Introduction to Dentistry.

Year 4 : Diagnostic Radiology Clerkship, Neurology Clerkship, Emergency Medicine Clerkship, Anesthesiology Clerkship, Neurosurgery Clerkship, Plastic Surgery Clerkship, Orthopedic Surgery Clerkship, Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Clerkship, Otolaryngology Clerkship, Ophthalmology Clerkship, Urology Clerkship, Rehabilitation Medicine Clerkship, Family Medicine Clerkship, Dermatology Clerkship, Pathology Clerkship, Community Medicine Clerkship, Community Hospital Clerkship, Comprehensive examination of Clinical Medicine.

To become a medical doctor, a graduate awarded the M.D. must pass the National Medical Board Examination for License. With the license, the graduate can enter an internship. After the internship, they can apply for the clinical specialty training program in an accredited hospital. Graduates may enter a graduate school to obtain a master's and then doctoral degree in basic and clinical sciences. Through the programs, the opportunity will be provided for them to gain a comprehensive understanding and to do research in basic and clinical sciences.
